The cotton used comes from manufacturing waste from Kariban brand cotton items, from the KARIBAN BRANDS range. The added polyester comes from the recycling of PET plastic bottles. Throughout the recycling process, tracers are incorporated into the yarn—viscose and ceramic filaments that act as a unique fingerprint. The tracers reflect light in a distinctive way and therefore have an unequivocal and tamper-proof code. Thanks to this, we can record, in a blockchain, all the information about the processes the yarn has gone through in a unique and unalterable way. Thanks to Aware™ tracer technology and the corresponding blockchain platform, Kimood enables the end consumer to trace the entire production process. This ensures that the product has been properly recycled, using its own waste, with no possible changes during the process. A special label with a QR code gives access to the Aware™ platform and allows you to directly authenticate the certificates using nothing more than a smartphone.
