The cotton used comes from the manufacturing waste of Kariban’s cotton items, from the KARIBAN BRANDS range. The added polyester originates from the recycling of PET plastic bottles. During the recycling process, trackers, viscose filaments, and ceramic filaments are incorporated into the yarn, functioning as a unique digital fingerprint. The trackers reflect light in a unique way and therefore have an unequivocal and tamper-proof code. Thanks to this, we can uniquely record, within a blockchain, all information about the processes the yarn has undergone. Thanks to Aware™ tracker technology and the corresponding blockchain platform, Kimood enables the end consumer to follow the entire production process. This ensures that the product has been properly recycled, using its own waste, with no possible alterations during the process. A special label with a QR code allows access to the Aware™ platform and direct authentication of certificates using a simple smartphone.
