The cotton used comes from the manufacturing waste of Kariban brand cotton items, from the KARIBAN BRANDS range. The added polyester originates from the recycling of PET plastic bottles. During the recycling process, tracers—viscose and ceramic filaments—are incorporated into the yarn, acting as unique digital fingerprints. These tracers reflect light in a unique way and therefore have a distinctive and tamper-proof code. Thanks to this, all information about the processes the yarn has undergone can be stored uniquely on a blockchain. Thanks to Aware™ tracer technology and its corresponding blockchain platform, Kimood allows the end consumer to follow the entire production process. This ensures that the product has been properly recycled, using its own waste, with no possible alterations during the process. A special label with a QR code gives access to the Aware™ platform and allows direct authentication of the certificates using a simple smartphone.
